I recently tried plugging my laptop into my monitor, which I have done in the past, but the display wouldn't copy over to the monitor. I know the monitor isn't the problem as I tried it with somebody else's laptop and it worked. The laptop detects that the monitor is their but wont display. The HDMI cable also isn't the problem as I have tried different cables. I have re-installed and updated all my graphics drivers but nothing helps. Please help.
