Why does error code 0x80073CF3 continue to show up when trying to download the latest Messenger for Desktop update from the Microsoft Store

I cannot download the latest Messenger for Desktop from the microsoft Store. I am worried it may be because I use Chrome (necessary for other programs I run). The Code I continue to get, and is now continually on the Store site is Code: 0x80073CF3.I do not want to lose access to my Messenger on Nov 20th, as my old tablet can no longer read them so I'm stuck with desktop for now.I have cleared cache, reset the store to remove the error code, retried multiple times at later dates and yet the update failed each time with the same error code.
