the pop up to log in sharing folder doesn't appear? how do I make it appear again?

I have 2 PC at home.. then i share it.. the one lets call it PC A become server and the other one lets call it PC B become client. Previously there was no problem, when PC B wanted to access PC A a login pop up always appeared which required us to fill in the user and password, but after several updates from Windows now the login information pop up doesn't appear anymore, and I can't access the share folder. How do I solve this problem? please kindly help me?
