windows 11 Infinite sync pending when trying to copy files to phone storage

Hello,Trying to make use of the new function from Win11 which allows the phone storage to be browsed and used in File Explorer. However, trying to copy files to phone storage, either SDcard or the internal storage, is stuck in a Sync Pending state. Deleting pics off the device also errors out. Copying to the PC works. At one point, after hours (like 6 of them) of trying, the phone synced the 700mb of music I tried to put on its SDcard, but still refuses to sync to the internal storage. It seems that taking some pics (saved on SDcard) that synced normally also triggered the file copy operation
