Osprey Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Going to be putting an i5 3570K on an ASUS MB for new build. Considering fitting a CPU cooler .. I am not intending to overclock (at least for now) but thought I could/should fit CPU cooler at time of build. Alpenföhn Matterhorn Pure Edition CPU Cooler as it's on offer. In that case I don't need the stock Intel cooler ... can you buy the i5 without the stock cooler ? or do just have to accept it as waste. Quote
maynardvdm Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Hi You get the cooler with it as standard. I have that chip in my pc with the stock cooler and its fine, running at about 36 degrees celcius. Synapse Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Ebuyer have them with and without a cooler. Should go with an aftermarket cooler? Depends on how far you may want to clock it, light o/c and stock should be ok. Heavy o/c and trying to push your machine, go with aftermarket. Quote
