windows 10 How to abort in progress OneDrive Backup process

I am starting to setup Backup and Sync on OneDrive. In OneDrive Settings I selected: Sync and Backup > Manage Backup. In the Back up folders on this PC window I selected Pictures. The service immediately moved the folder and all sub-folders in C:\Users\Me\Pictures to C:\Users\Me\OneDrive\Pictures. I take it this is normal behavior but not what I expected. The OneDrive process then began backing up the files. I believe this is indicated by the chasing blue arrows icon. When a file is backed up, the icon changes to an arrow in a green dot. The process is proceeding but and a glacial pace. som
