Headphone microphone not working on PC?

I have two windows devices, a laptop and a PC. I have Windows 11 on my laptop and when I connect my wireless headphones it automatically connects me both audio and mic. However, when I connect the same headphones to my PC on Windows 10, it allows me to listen to the sound but doesn't recognize the microphone. It doesn't even recognize it as an output. In the Sound settings, it recognizes it on the playback settings but the device doesnt even show up under the recording tab. I'm confused as to how this works, could it be possibly a hardware issue?
