My PC won't start normally and it's requesting my recovery key. I have two recovery keys for this PC however neither are working.

My PC has been acting funny and now when restarting it's asking for recovery key. When I log into Microsoft I'm seeing two recovery keys however neither is working. Whats the problem and does my PC need to be online when entering the keys? If yes, how do I make sure or check to see if my PC is online?.
