How do I use my mobile number for two microsoft accounts?

My personal microsoft account had my mobile phone number linked to it. Today I linked my phone to another microsoft account for a few months while I help the organisation sort out their computer. To do this we removed a previous persons number as they are no longer available and put mine in its place. Now microsoft have deleted the number from my personal account. I did not want it removing from my account and want to reinstall and use it for my personal account and also keep it for both accounts temporarily. Is there a way to do this, or is there an alternative to linking my mobile numbe
