Some thumbnails stopped showing in windows 10

My Jpg files stopped showing thumbnail previews, seemingly after trying to backup data to onedrive. Then I deleted thumbnail.db and did an SFC scan with command prompt which fixed some of them, but not all of them.Now random images across my desktop and folders do not show thumbnails, but in other folders they work just fine. I'm entirely lost on this, please help. What shows instead of thumbnails is the file icon for the photoviewer. I can open the images and they still work, but I don't get previews through thumbnails.
