Why is Microsoft Allowed to Reduce Support from 10 years to 2?

All previous Windows operating system versions were supported for at least 10 years after their final release. Why is Windows 10 only being supported for 2 years after its final release? Microsoft's can only claim they are treating support for Windows 10 the same as previous versions IF they are using Windows 10 original release date back in 2015. Microsoft changed their policies with the release of Windows 10 by placing an END OF SUPPORT date of two years (OR LESS) on every version of Windows 10 since its inception.
