Guest Picsou1981 Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 Hi all. I have a problem with my Caps Lock key which keeps reactivating itself whenever I restart my computer. When I check the keyboards properties in the Control panel, the "Disable" option is checked, but it simply doesnt stick. I'd appreciate your 2ps.

Guest Curt Christianson Posted October 16, 2008 Posted October 16, 2008 Re: Disable Caps lock Hi Picsou1981, I would check the BIOS settings, and make sure the Caps Lock is not being enabled each time you power up the system. It sounds as though the Caps Lock is being enabled before Windows even starts. I'm with you. I hate the caps lock key because I never want to use it, but sometimes accidentally hit it. I feel the same way about the Insert key. But I don't use the beep feature. Instead I turn off both keys by using the freeware program SharpKeys at http://www.randyrants.com/sharpkeys/ To me, it's a much better choice than having it beep. -- Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP - Windows Desktop Experience Please Reply to the Newsgroup
