Disable Caps lock

Hi all.

I have a problem with my Caps Lock key which keeps reactivating itself

whenever I restart my computer. When I check the keyboards properties in the

Control panel, the "Disable" option is checked, but it simply doesnt stick.

I'd appreciate your 2ps.

Hi Picsou1981,

I would check the BIOS settings, and make sure the Caps Lock is not being

enabled each time you power up the system. It sounds as though the Caps

Lock is being enabled before Windows even starts.

I'm with you. I hate the caps lock key because I never want to use it,

but sometimes accidentally hit it. I feel the same way about the

Insert key.

But I don't use the beep feature. Instead I turn off both keys by

using the freeware program SharpKeys at

http://www.randyrants.com/sharpkeys/

To me, it's a much better choice than having it beep.
