Why is my computer freezing?

Ever since I downloaded Batman Arkham City on PC, I got the blue screen. And I had to restart everything and redownload everything. When I went back to start playing games again, all they did was freeze up. I thought it was a GPU issue but was proven false. Then I thought it was the PSU but it was fine. And I never overclocked or pushed the limits of everything. Can someone tell me?
