how to uninstall the bootable windows USB from external HDD

By mistake, selected the external HDD when asked for bootable USB and now I see only windows boot related files of 31.5 GB instead of my 5TB drive .The name of the drive has been changed and Iam not able to see the original contents and not sure how t to retrieve the original data,How can this bootable realted files be removed and get back the drive to its original state ? THANKS
