My windows 10 computer is stuck on the preparing automatic repair page

When my new outlook stopped working I tried rolling the computer back by using a previous restore point.The restore got stuck on the restoring registry.(I left it there for 24 hours) to see if it would change.Eventually I hit the power button.When I tried to restart it I got the black screen with the did not shut down cleanly note.Reading metadata etcAll these things said they were done thenPreparing automatic repair appeared at the bottom of the screen.The computer has been in this state for 2 hours.
