my computer doesnt have a wifi option.

My computer (windows 11 HP) doesnt have an option for wifi, it shows ethernet (which i dont have a cable for) VPN Proxy Dial up and the advanced network. Ive tried everything and nothing seems to work! im not sure if i used ethernet in the past as this computer used to be a relatives however one day the wifi just stopped working. we do have a router (wireless wifi) and it works on everything but the computer: help please
