Deleting an email account?

Hi allI am struggling to delete a former work email account from Outlook. I've followed the steps from another thread about disconnecting the account under Settings > Accounts >Access work or school > Disconnect.But still, whenever I open Outlook it wants me to sign in with the former email account.I've tried to remove the account in Outlook, but it tells me that the primary account cannot be removed. However, it's not the primary account. The checkmark is in front of another account (my primary one.)So I'm a bit stuck here. Any good advice? And yes, I've tried to restart both Outlook
