Hello All,

I will be using my friends laptop over weekend instead of my own DESKTOP PC,

Is it possible to bring my OUTLOOK up on her laptop, if so, how ?

All help so appreciated.

Regards,

Why would you pollute your "friend's" laptop just so you can read

*possible* e-mails that you receive during only 2 days? Stop being so

unfriendly to your friend. Use the webmail interface to your account

when using someone else's property to read your e-mails.

Best to ask an Outlook newsgroup. Don't forget to state your version of

Outlook.

First you will have to configure your email account into her Outlook.

Then you need to copy your .PST file to portable media like a flash pen.

Then copy it to someplace on her hard drive. Open Outlook and go to

File/Open/Outlook Data File and navigate to where you saved the .PST

file. Now you can use her Outlook. When you're done, close your .PST

file and remove your email account.

Well an interesting response, not quite the response one would expect. No

comment really to Vanguard apart from the image of liverpudlians with curly

wigs on, going 'calm down, calm down' ???? Bizarre response.

And thanks Pegasus a straight forward, normal answer. Hurrah, I Did have a

look for an Outlook newsgroup but couldn't find one on here. Can you point me

in the right direction ? I would be very grateful.

Help appreciated, petty sarcasm, not neccesary.

Many Thanks,

Caroline x

Although there are other ways to access your E-mail, the only way to

do it with Outlook would be to install Outlook on her computer.

I don't know how your friend feels about it, but if you borrowed one

of my computers, or even used it at my house, and installed *anything*

on it, I would have a fit. It would be the last time you would use one

of my computers, and probably even the end of your being my friend.

Re: How do I access OUTLOOK on another PC?

But doesn't it make you wonder what they do with your email address, once

you've entered it in that little box?

I worked for a client a couple months back, and I met a guy in their

marketing department that found a website that sold email mailing lists. He

was buying one million email addresses, for $39.95 a month. And that was

one MILLION different addresses, each month. And we all know those people

didn't give their addresses out, for the purpose that their being used for -

they were collected, from the internet.

Just a thought.

RE: How do I access OUTLOOK on another PC?

I'm sorry Caroline, but i would have to agree with Vanguard, you should just

use interent explorer and go right to your web page...hotmail, yahoo, etc.

I am telling you this from experience, i tried to connect outook at home

since i had it at work and it made life so much easier and doing that i ended

up messing up my outlook login, somehow...??

I would HIGHLY recommend that you not try something like that on someone

elses computer, if you want to mess with one, do it to your own!
