Unless my calculator has gone bananas I get the total to £523.90, and I am just about keeping up with your changes!

Personally I wouldn't use RAM I don't trust, so for me that means using Crucial, Kingston or Corsair as a rule. Lots of people use other brands and it works fine, I'd put branded in there.

Do your prices include delivery costs? I've knocked up an Ebuyer order with similar and including free delivery I get to £495.57, and add your Win 7 from your supplier I get to £520.57, which is close to yours :)

Good enough!

The only consideration now is the hard drive being 2.5", where are you going to mount it?

You'll need a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter kit, cheap as chips on ebay.

I assume you are ok with a 5400rpm drive rather than a 7200rpm model?

fail.. at the moment my second hdd in my compaq (200gb) is just sitteing next to the mother board not mounted at all :P

but i will get a adapter to secure it well thats it im happy with it! cant wait to start building :D

Hi

Why do you want a 2.5 when you can get a 3.5 1TB for cheaper.

Synapse can correct me if i am wrong but isn't this better: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Seagate-ST1000DL002-Drive-Serial-ATA-5900RPM/dp/B004HYBL12/ref=sr_1_8?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1342811064&sr=1-8

Yup, I did wonder why it had changed from a 3.5" to 2.5".

If it was my build I would drop in a low capacity SSD drive, say 120 Gb for the OS and a standard large capacity drive for storage.

I have an OCZ SSD and it really made so much difference to speed of boot, general snappiness, much better........
