Windows 11: background image (or ANY display) on secondary monitor in login screen?

My laptop is sometimes slow to wake from sleep, and when it does, the internal display goes from black to.... black! (it's the secondary display to my monitor, where the login screen appears). The keyboard backlit works even in sleep mode, so it's sometimes very difficult to tell what state it is currently in, whether it's just being slow to respond, or still asleep, or something else.Is there any setting to set a background (even just a background colour) for the secondary display BEFORE login?
