Headphones not recognised as separate audio device from laptop speakers

I own a thinkpad running Windows 11, and whenever I plug in headphones into the audio jack it does not recognise it to be a separate audio device. Everything works fine, even the mic on the headphones, but I need to switch to laptop speakers without plugging them out sometimes, and its just annoying. I have attached screenshots of mmsys.cpl befoore and after plugging in the headphones and there is literally no change. What should I do?
