Hi Ray

There are numerous posts over the web re: your problem.

I found this posted by malke (MS-MVP):

"This error is caused by the "Speech and Handwriting Recognition" feature of MS Office.

You can turn this feature off by going to the Add/Remove Programs applet in Control Panel.

Click on the entry for MS Office and then on "Change".

Browse to "Office Shared Features," "Alternative User Input,"

and make Speech and Handwriting Recognition (both) "Not available" from the drop-down box."

Hi Ken I got to the end of the instructions but got a message i'nstallation file SKUO11.CAB could not be found, Install original instalation disc or if installed via network browse nework to installation source'.

Although I must have had the installation disc when I got the sysytem new 5 years ago I can't find the disc.

Any advice or is it a dead end?

Thing is Ken this message 'message End Programme' Cicero UIwndframe' this programme is not responding. To return to windows click end programme - all unsaved data will be lost. Sems to be happening more and more frequently when I turn off so I hope things are not going to end up in a serious problem?

Cheers

Hi Ray

I found another link that suggests there is a stage missing from what I posted before:

something relating to advanced customization of applications

see if this makes a difference

Do you have MS Office on this machine and do you have the original installation disk ?

Hi Ken

Before I try your suggested link just to say yes I do have Microsoft Office Professional on my machine (it came as part of the HP Pavillion package and i'm pretty sure everything was installed using installation disk.

As stated I do not have the installation disc although I have a Panosonic disc entitled DV Studiowhich includes

USB DRIVER

Web Cam driver for windows XP

Archsoft panorama maker 3

Archsoft photoMontage 2

Don't think this is what we need?

Am going to try your new link and will let you know outcome.

Thanks

Also Ken and anyone else welcome to input please

As previously stated the fix did not work for me as a message appeared saying a file was missing and I needed to use the original installation disc to obtain it - and I can't find the disc.

However looking at a help site where people had experienced this apparently comon gllitch I found this message

'The suggested fix did not work for me. Here’s what did work.

I recently experienced the same problem with CiceroUlWndframe. My solution came about when I discovered that I had an unsent email in Outlook 2003 SP3 that got there by way of Windows Live Messenger. I deleted the unsent message and the CiceroUlWndframe error stopped. I’m running XP SP3 and use Outlook 2003 SP3 strictly for the calendar. My regular email service is set up for Outlook Express 6. An attempt to send a message from WL Messenger defaulted to using Outlook ’03 and left the message hanging in Outlook ’03 since I never set it up for an email connection to the internet. It was the repeated pop-ups that a message was still trying to be sent that got my attention'

This is interesting as I also run MS Office 2003 and although my email is set to OE when I receive certain online update my email sets itself to Outlook which is not a problem as I go to oe in my start menue and switch back to OE and then get a message saying 'would I like to set my default email to OE which I 'yes to'

-I just wonder if the glitch is somehow coming from the outlook programme and I am tempted to permantly remove it from my machine in hope of getting rid of the CiceroUlWndframe. error message

What do you think?

Hi Ray

Do NOT use Speedy PC Pro.

Apart from anything else - it is pay-for software and I doubt it will solve this particular problem.

It is a pity that you don't have the MS Office software - we could have tried a repair.

My solution came about when I discovered that I had an unsent email

I read this too.

There seems to be a variety of causes for this annoying little problem !!

If you have no use for Outlook then by all means remove it.

see here

With a bit of luck this will remove your problem too.

Ken,

I went with link you provided to remove Outlook but the process again aborted, again a file was stated to be missing and I was told to insert the installation disc which I can't find.

Just to clarify I DO have Microsoft Office Professional 2003 installed which I believe you previously said 'was I pity I did not have it on my machine'

I am out of ideas on this!

Hi Ray

I originally said ....

It is a pity that you don't have the MS Office software

meaning the installation disk - which we would need for a repair.

Try Revo Uninstaller to remove Outlook (you want the free version - scroll down the page )

http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html

If you need advice on how to use it just shout.

OK I downloaded the free 30 day trial version.

Thing is it gives a screen shot of all my programs and Microsoft Office Profesional is there but it doesnt show Outlook seperatly so If I ht ininstall Ipresume the whole office programme get uninstalled?

Its also worrying me that a message comes up something like 'carring out the inital uninstall preparation.

Hi Ray

Ipresume the whole office programme get uninstalled?

Yes it will - sorry about that .......I hoped it may spit it up into its component parts.

Is there a possibility of borrowing an Office 2003 disk ?
