IE6 buggy?

Recommended Posts

Everything is fine. Then the images on web pages stop downloading.

Everything else downloads, but no images. When I reboot, I get a

warning of a program not responding. No name on the program. After

reboot, everything is fine for a while and it happens again. Any ideas?

Its difficult to tell from the information you have supplied.

1. What type of connection do you have?

2. Is this specific to a certain website? Which one or ones?

3. What type of security are you using? Anti-virus - what program?

Anti-SpyWare - what program(s)? Firewall - what program?

4. When was the last time you checked for virus and other problems?

5. You are having this difficulty with IE but not another browser?

6. What version of JAVA? What version of Flash and Shockwave?

7. Are all IE and OS updates installed? Have you run qfecheck to make sure

they are functioning?

This is a good start answer these,,, expect more questions....

Re: IE6 buggy?

Had similar problems with IE6, lockups when multiple pages are loaded

(seemed related to flash). Lockups while trying to shutdown (same as

yours, unknown program not responding). I now use Firefox 2 for

almost all of my browsing. It is not perfect, but you will be much

happier with it I guarantee.
