I think my laptop factory reset itself

I turned off my laptop because it was being slow when I tried to watch YouTube so I closed all my taps and apps that were currently open and I held down the power button and and slide down the part that says slide to power off or something similar to that and when I turned it back on all of my stuff was gone and I couldn’t open any apps besides the settings and the ones on the desktop.If it matters the laptops about a year old now and it’s an asus tuf dash f15 laptop
