Ethernet connection, Some websites are working just fine but cant launch apps like epic games, steam or EA (mostly gaming ones)

I have an ethernet connection to a TP link wifi extender (X20 model) and everything was working just fine until the videogame i was playing suddenly disconnected me and now i cant launch any 'game launchers' as they say im not connected to the internet however my search engine seems to be working just fine as i can watch videos and browse shopping sites. Im really confused what to do as this problem is really frustrating. Any help will be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance Oh also forgot to add i have ethernet cables running in the walls of the house that connect the modem directly to my T
