wallpaper super bright after windows update

I updated my pc earlier today. After it finished I realised my wallpaper was super bright and washed out, but everything else was fine.I realised that if I went to contrast themes I could fix it by applying a theme (usually set to none since i don’t like them), and then go back to none after. But as soon as i restart my pc it would happen again.I’ve tried uninstalling the update, but that hasn’t helped either. It’s bothering me quite a bit as i don’t want to have to go into settings to apply and then un-apply it every single time.
