Devices can't connect to windows 10 mobile hotspot.

Hi everyone,I've recently dug out an old laptop that was running windows 8, to use the laptop as a hotspot to run a VPN through. Tested before updated and all was fine but my ping was a bit high so updated to windows 10. After the update, I can see the mobile hotspot on my PS5 and phone but keep timing out when trying to connect. I'm certain all my adapter setting are correct and I don't want to restore back to windows 8 as the update took forever, as you can imagine. Any help? Thanks!
