Date format on taskbar does not change even after changing the format in "Regional Format".

After rebooting the device, the date format on taskbar has changed from "yyyy/mm/dd" to "mm/d".As suggested by several threads, I have tried changing it through the Regional Format settings menu.It however, shows that the format is indeed in "yyyy/mm/dd" format.Is there an alternative way to change this?
