Cannot sign in to my desktop pc!

I have a Vizio desktop which family members use.I forgot my password & it's asking me to retrieve something that I supposedly stored somewhere, pc 'file' or cloud, no recollection of ever having done that! Can't be specific because in order to look it up Id have to leave this page & start over! Grrr!! Will try to have add'l info or screenshots if one of you kind souls responds!!Anyway, was told to go to MS.com & sign in. We'll that's impossible on the PC because - I can't get past the password request & so-called 'file' problem - no one else is @ home to access the internet
