Laptop suddenly restarted?

Hello my laptop suddenly restarted by it self stating that there were issues with the device on a blue screen? it didn't state anything else and i dont understand why that occurred. My laptop was acting a bit funky (with the internet connection) so i was planning on restarting anyway however does anybody know how i can find out why it restarted? Is there like a log on the device or something?
