Keep getting error 0x800700c1 trying to do a windows update

Trying to play Marvel Rivals and it says "DirectX 12 is not supported on your system. Try running without the -dx12 or -d3d12 command line argument." According to some things ive seen i need to update windows. But every time I try to update I get 0x800700c1.(Keep in mind I do not want to upgrade to windows 11, just trying to update 10)im currently on Version 2004 (OS Build 19041.450)
