Corticarte Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Hi Guys, Firstly I will list my computer specifications. Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 4GB RAM Core I5-760 120GB OCZ SSD 1TB SAMSUNG SPINPOINT F3 MOBO: DP55WG Problem: Every time I start my PC my Network adapter does not connect to the router i get a red cross in the icon located in my system tray. Workaround... Open up device manager disable then enable the network adapter, this makes it work fine until the next time I turn my PC off. Background.... I Bought an SSD and installed windows on this instead of my HDD an since then the problem has occurred. Troubleshooting steps taken. Installed multiple drivers which I found on the internet. Re-installed windows 7 Ultimate and also tried 7 home and pro but with the same result. Restarted machine Additional... if you require any further information regarding this I am more than happy to provide or any suggestions it really is driving me crazy having this problem and i just cannot figure this out, I have searched high and low maybe it is because it is an SSD? but surely other people are not having this same problem. KenB Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Hi and welcome to ExTS I have seen something similar before - and it turned out to be a faulty ethernet cable. Do you have a spare that you could try ?
