My audio driver is showing signs of error [Intel Smart Sound Technology]

Recently after booting up the audio driver seems to be working abruptly [shows fw did not send fw ready notification] and was not able to process any kind of sound input, after browsing the internet for a while and searching for solution I tried reinstalling the driver right after, but it was of no use and the problem persisted, I tried updating the driver but it kept on showing errors upon installation 

 and nothing happens. Can you guide me with what is actually wrong with my device [it's an acer aspire 5 series laptop ].
