My Dell XPS 8700 PC originally had Windows 8 installed on a 1 TB hard drive. I did the free upgrade to Windows 10. Subsequently, I installed a 500 GB SSD which became my C: drive and functioned well for a number of years. Performance of my system is now degraded. Windows 10 was also on the hard drive and I booted up to that drive. I ran the Windows Recovery/Reset and it reverted to Windows 8, so I can't use that. The Windows Recovery/Reset with saving my files run from the C: drive (the SSD) with saving my files, has resulted in a loss of some software like my 2013 version of MS Office, but pe
