Why do multiple folders sometimes get added as pinned folders in Quick Access.

Why do multiple folders sometimes get added as pinned folders in Quick Access? I didn't select this option, yet sometimes dozens of folders appear here. And is there any option other than removing them one at a time. MSi laptop, intel Core i9, 10th gen, Windows 11
