I have an old laptop (HP) with limited memory (not upgradable), slow CPU and not upgradable to Windows 11.I want to move the 'PC' to a Hyper_V vhdx and then reactivate. however I understand that the OEM licence is tied to the laptop. After setting up the VM, can I purchase and use a retail licence to activate the VM. If yes, is there a recommended process of do I just add the key and activate?
