Guest Eran Karu Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 When I surf the internet, my Web browser, Internet Explorer 7 or Opera 9.6, occasionally bombs. Only my Web browser hangs, not the entire system that crashes. I try several times to kill the process of the hanged Web browser but futile. So I have to reboot my computer system by pressing power "on/off" button. I try hard to find out what causes the problem but I can not find an answer at all. In other words, I do not know whether hardware problems, software bugs or some erroneous web sites cause my Web browser to hang. Whenever I click any link to any other web site, a web site partly appears on my computer screen then stops and the small icon at the top and left corner of the Web browser's interface changes to an empty white rectangle icon - the Web browser hangs and no error messages appear at all. My keyboard and mouse work fine. Remember that it happens only when I surf the Internet. It never happened while I had Windows XP Service Pack 2 before. I successfully made a clean install of Windows XP and updated it to the latest version, including Service Pack 3 and latest Internet Explorer 7 (No Add-ons). I carefully kept almost everything at default. The same problem happened again! Therefore, I did not know what to do about it. Please help me how to successfully solve the problem so that my Web browsers, both Internet Explorer and Opera, will no longer hang while surfing the internet. Please give me a clear step-by-step instruction in detail.
