KenB Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Hi Shane I am afraid I have had to edit your post. We are not ebay - we are here to help with computer based problems. I will say that I would expect to pay about half of the original cost for a used unit - your £700 is far too expensive. RandyL Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 I might add...... An insurance company would value a 14 month old PC at about half the value as Ken said. Personally I would not pay more then 20% over retail for a 14 month old PC. Even then I would insist on an OS disk. Not to mention all the work to restore it to a new condition. And no Gaurantee from the maker. A PC is even worse then a car. As soon as you drive it off the lot depreciate it by half. And yours is old by computer standards. I know people will pay more looking for a bargain but for those who know it's not a bargain. Bargain hunters are also looking to buy cheap. Gamers are looking to buy good at any cost. Although at that price you might have a mighty fine PC it's hardly top end for gaming. Twice that price is a real game PC minimum. Say $3,000 to $5,000 American. And that's new price not old price. This is why people buy things like Xbox to play games. If you list your actuall specs on ebay you will likely get realistic bids. But we will not get into the business of such matters.
