When I bought my mini I upgraded the ram to 4 gigs. What is the maximum amount of memory my Mac Mini will take? This is a 2009 model.

I think 4 gig is it, however I did find this

JUNE 01, 2009

"MacMini cannot accept 8GB of memory, which could have expanded its range of useful tasks considerably.

Still, for many users it will work quite well with 4GB.

Update Oct 25, 2009:

OWC reports that 8GB memory now works in the 2009 MacMini with Mac OS X Snow Leopard!"

So it seems that the Snow Leopard OS has code that can allocate the larger amounts of memory. Apparently the earlier hardware was all good, it was the OS that was the hold up.. 500 beans for 8 gig
