Haven’t had a chance to play around with Mac OS X Lion yet? Check out this 16 minute video walkthrough, it provides a nice look at the current 10.7 developer preview. It goes through the major changes and features, and gives a good overview of the next Mac OS X.

Want to run it yourself? Check out our guide to install Mac OS X 10.7 on a separate partition and dual boot with 10.6, it’s the best way to try out Lion without messing with your stable Snow Leopard installation.

Anyone can install and run the developer preview, but you must sign up to be a Mac developer first, which costs $99. If you don’t want to use the aforementioned partitioning method, you can also run Lion in VMWare but it’s not nearly as speedy as a native boot.

If you don’t want to bother with developer previews and beta software, Mac OS X 10.7 Lion is scheduled for a summer 2011 release. Most speculation puts the Lion launch alongside iPhone 5 at WWDC 2011, which could be June 5, making for a very busy summer for Apple.

This video was found via MacRumors. Many of the Lion videos are being pulled from YouTube so don’t be surprised if this one disappears too.
