Early 2009 Mini Video

OKay guys Im new to trying different displays with my Mac. Since I have an early 2009 Mac Mini Can I use the Mini DVI to Video Adapter to get display using a RCA yellow input to a tv screen? Long and short Im working on installing my mini in my car for trips because I travel so much and Im tried of messing with my Ipod and dealing with my portable Garmin. My car has RCA jacks already installed from the factory to work on my LCD screen. I thought using the Mini DVI to VGA and then adding a VGA to RCA adapter would work but its all static. So at this point im just wondering if the Mini DVI to Video adapter would work?
