Guest dasie6 Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 ok, so I bought a webcam, Microsoft's LifeCam VX-3000, I installed it..went fine..restarted my computer a few times then..windows won't boot up. I turn the power on, then the 1st Windows screen loads then a blank black screen and no more action. I really don't want to format my computer, I have very important files on it. I have tried the F12, and F8 things, I have also ran a test on my harddrive to make sure it is healthy. I am using Windows XP Pro, with Service pack 3. Please pretty please help me.

Guest nass Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 Re: HELP!! Did you tried to leave it blank! Some Vendor will give you the password if you give them a call or if you searched the internet for your model and make for default administrator passwords. Try the Ultimate Boot CD option or take it to your local reapir shop to fix it for you. Guest Thee Chicago Wolf Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 Re: HELP!! >No what does that do? and how do I install it if Windows won't load? My guess is that it was never installed on your PC but if you are not able to boot, it might not help. If you restart the computer and when it is about to load Windows, press the F8 button and try using Last Known Good Configuration." If that doesn't help, try instead to use Safe Mode and see if Windows Will load. - Thee Chicago Wolf
