Ammeaux Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 After years of being dissatisfied with my PC, and my latest PC being a real lemon, I have made the decision to try a Mac mini, and an Air Superdrive. I already have an iPad, an iPhone 4S, an iPhone 4 (my wife's) and several iPods, I decided it is time to go completely Apple. I have never had any problems with my Apple products. My last PC was, at the time it was built, a very powerful platform. I used it mostly for gaming on the weekends, but also for working at home on business projects, all in MS Office, as well as some photo editing, and from time to time watching streaming movies and DVD's. My question is, which Mac Mini do I need. Is 2gb of memory enough, or do I need the 4gb memory. Are the Mac memory hogs like PC's or are they much more efficient, and the 2gb is plenty? Is the 4gb with the better video card worth the extra money? I am looking forward to a pleasant experience with my new Mac Mini, I just am not sure which Mini I need, vs what I think I want. I know no one that I can ask, as all my friends are dedicated PC junkies. Thanks, Mike in Pineville, LA Quote
Geek Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 Welcome to the community. 2 gigs is enough for a mini. OSX runs extremely well with that amount. Quote
