Tp Link TL-WA701ND repeater problems

Hey Everyone, I have just brought i Tp link TL-WA701ND Wireless Lite N Access Point and I'm having a wee bit of trouble with it :(. I did phone up Tp-links techies and it took me 15 minutes to explain to them every time i restart my computer when i have it set on repeater mode it kicks me off the internet, so what they did was twiddle there thumbs, sent me a firmware update.... well sort off since they never sent it and i had to find it myself on their site. Anyways the problem I'm having is when the Tp-link is on repeater mode i think its working since its not kicking me off the internet but everytime i restart my computer it kicks me off my wireless saying it cant connect to the Ethernet port which i don't want, Oh yeah i did have to assign a static ip address to it by chanhing my protocol4 to this 192.168.1.254 only problem i have now is that it wont go back to obtain automatically and i cant use it with the wireless which i wanted in the first place. Please help been spenind hours hitting my head against a brick wall trying all different solutions which may work, Thanks for your time. :D

 

P.S. im running windows 7 home and my wireless router is the latest sky box.

Mode:Repeater

Channel: 6

SSID: Sky51E9B

Mac: xx-xx-xx-xx-xx

Password encryption: WPA2-PSK
