Guest mississippimills Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 I would like to be able to open a new window for a folder, only on occasion. In other words, I want to open new folders in the same window most of the time, but there are times when viewing two windows would be more convenient. However, I want to do this without going through START, My Computer, etc. a second time. Can I add an "Open in new window" choice to the drop-down menu that opens with a right click?

D/l and install Xplorer2 which has split screen , you can look at same folder or 2 different ones as you like . ( Xplorer2 lite is the free one )

This opens a new window (with tree view), assuming that you're not currently in Explorer mode. -- Regards, Ramesh Srinivasan, Microsoft MVP [Windows Shell/User] The Winhelponline Blog http://www.winhelponline.com/blog "mississippimills" <myfcycle@gmail.com> wrote in message news:9b02413c-916d-40c9-bfd1-655a196f165c@y79g2000hsa.googlegroups.com... >I would like to be able to open a new window for a folder, only on > occasion.
