How to AirDrop the edited photo rather than the original one to my Mac?

Hi,

I have an iPhone 6 under iOS 12. Each time I use the AirDrop feature to send a picture from my phone to my Mac (running Big Sur), I end up with the original photo rather than the one I edited on my iPhone.

The only way I've found sa far is to connect my iPhone to my Mac with a USB cable and use macOS Image Capture app and manually select the edited pictures. It works, but it's not as convenient as AirDrop.

Can I do the same with AirDrop?
