Guest Kardon Coupé Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Dear All, I recenlty wanted to print a directory to a file, a website pointed me to creating a script, changing Folder Options, etc, etc... So, ok, the Context menu right click worked, so I went to double click a folder to go into it.... Hmmmm, why is VLC player trying to play the contents of the folder, not opening it? So, a bit of research later, tells me (apparantly) if I go into those options to look, and cancel not ok it, it can mess around with it... Anyways, I found Doug Knox's, folder_open.vbs, which I hoped would fix it, it sort of does, but now when I double click a folder, it opens in a new window, I don't want that, I wanted it to open up with itself, if that makes sense.. Can anybody help me Regards Paul.
Guest Kardon Coupé Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Re: Folder Opening Corrupted. Ok, Very weird.... I've closed Explorer windows over the past 10-15 mins, to the point were I've closed them all, and re-opened a few, and it seems to be ok now? I'm guessing it just needed to start from fresh? Regards Paul. You may have to logoff and login back (some require restarting Windows), or restart Explorer.exe via Task Manager. -- Regards, Ramesh Srinivasan, Microsoft MVP [Windows Shell/User] The Winhelponline Blog http://www.winhelponline.com/blog "Kardon Coupé" <prefer.to@readon.newsgroups> wrote in message news:Ojth%23yHNJHA.2348@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... > Ok, Very weird.... > > I've closed Explorer windows over the past 10-15 mins, to the point were > I've closed them all, and re-opened a few, and it seems to be ok now? > > I'm guessing it just needed to start from fresh? > > Regards > Paul. > > "Kardon Coupé" <prefer.to@readon.newsgroups> wrote in message > news:eTKoomHNJHA.2324@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl... >> Dear All, >> >> I recenlty wanted to print a directory to a file, a website pointed me to >> creating a script, changing Folder Options, etc, etc... >> >> So, ok, the Context menu right click worked, so I went to double click a >> folder to go into it....
