Guest Kobus Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Good Day Please can someone help, i have a Windows 2003 server with around 50 users connecting to it, sometimes the TS will keep their printers from previous sessions, so it will show two printers eg: HP1018 in session 10 and HP1018 in session 12 , i think this maybe from the users being disconnected if the line drops, or maybe if they close the terminal sever session by clicking on the cross at the top of the screen instead of logging off correctly by going, start - logoff. Another problem that happens is that quite often it will show all the printers on the server instead of just the users printers. So i was wandering if there was a way to stop the server from keeping old printer sessions and if there is a way for the server not to show everyones printers. Thanks very much for any suggestions.
Guest Jeff Pitsch Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Re: TS keeping printers from old sessions This is most likely attributed to a bad print driver or drivers on your system. You must test thoroughly your print drivers before installing them on the server to amke sure they are compatible. I typically recommend a utility from Citrix called StressPrinters: http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX109374 by the way, this is not a Citrix specific utility so feel free to use it on straight TS as well.
