Guest bassdaze Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 I installed a 1 tb Samsung 970 evo nvme m.2 on my 2013 Mac Pro years ago. Of course when I try to upgrade to Monterey the upgrade fails due to the firmware not supported for the SSD. I've read that this can be achieved by installing an Apple ssd, do the upgrade up to the point after the firmware update, re-installing the 1 tb ssd then continuing the Big Sur upgrade.
