You need to contact a staff member (Administrator) and explain the need to delete a thread. Members do not have that permission and can only edit their own posts for a short time after posting.

BeeCeeBee is correct.... Members do not have that permission.

The reason is quite simple:

Imagine a long thread with multiple posts from members and one member deletes their posts.... The thread loses all continuity and some replies may look out of place if the previous post is removed.

This is why posts are not normally deleted.

They can however be removed at the discretion of an Administrator if he/she feels there is a valid reason for the deletion.
